We have all made mistakes in our lives. It is a matter if we learn from our mistakes or not. When someone you love or care about has hurt you. How long does it generally take for you to come around to forgiving that person? Forgiving is the easy part, forgetting is not. I would forgive people whoever make mistakes. If I know I have hurt someone, I do tell them and I say L-) I'm so sorry. For me, anything wrong on my part, it is not hard to say sorry :)
